Why the global fraternity has remained indifferent?
We fettered and colonized people of the Indian occupied state of Jammu and Kashmir are making an earnest and passionate appeal to the freedom loving people of this beautiful planet to spare some time to look into the gory happenings in our occupied territories where the unbridled arrogance, incorrigible anti- Muslim hatred and insatiable lust for expansion has been wreaking havoc on the defenseless and peaceful natives since 1947.
Why the global fraternity has remained indifferent to the Indian bloodletting and genocide of the inhabitants of the held state all these decades is really exasperating and a stigma on its conscience, after all we are as good humans as any people and like every other nation deserve to live a free, peaceful and dignified life. Why should live in someone’s servitude or bondage when we are no subhuman species and why shall we be discriminated against on any ground whatever when the entire world believes in freedom, liberty and equality as proclaimed and enshrined in the United Nations’ Charter? And if it is a must to sacrifice in blood to taste the fruits of freedom , even on that count we lag behind none for we have sacrificed more than half a million lives during these 74 years of Indian occupation, have made fathomless and unprecedented sacrifices in men and material! What kind of brutality and barbarity India should perpetrate upon us that would merit the world attention, and does really any such brutal or barbaric method exist in someone’s mind that hasn’t been employed by the Indian demons so for? Or is it our misfortune that we ain’t sitting on a y oil or gas reserves or belong to a particular faith and for that we deserve to remain perennial victim of the Indian communal mindset and its state terrorism!
We would like to remind our global fraternity that it was India that took the Kashmir issue to the United Nations and proposed a UN supervised free and impartial plebiscite conducted under the auspices of some UN tribunal , and that it was this very proposal that the Security Council adopted in her resolutions of 1948, 49 with India along all others as their signatory. This reference to the people of the state was ratified time and again by the UN in its more than dozen attendant resolutions. And it were the Indian founding fathers and the succeeding governments that kept promising to the Kashmiris, the Pakistan and the International community that the natives of the state were the ultimate arbiters of their destiny and that they would be free to decide their future political status through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite conducted by the UN.
What we have even asking and demanding of India all along is nothing but the honoring of her commitments and the relevant UNSC resolutions and restoration of this very birth right of ours they have usurped for so long. We aren’t asking for anything that belonged to India, instead it is what duly belonged to us under the UN Charter and the International law ,but have been deprived of forcibly by the occupying power.
There can be no denying the fact that we are the most pacifist people around and it was only after exhausting every peaceful avenue to win our birth right, the right to self-determination the endless state repression that our youth were forced to resort to military means to defend their enslaved people. And in reaction what India did was to add to its .3 million strong military force deputed there three times more and provide them with carte blanche to kill and silence the Kashmiris. It passed arbitrary legislations and put into force Draconian laws to quell the protests and muzzle the legitimate voice of freedom that echoed with resonance across the entire occupied territories. On August 5, 2021, India stripped the state of its statehood, abolished its special status by repealing Articles 35A and 370 and bifurcated it into two separate union territories. These measures were aimed at breaking the Kashmiris’ resolve and engineering a demographic change in the state that had been predominantly Muslim throughout. Sensing the resentment and the reaction of the populace, it imposed a communication blockade and a state wide lock down that spanned over a year and during which hundreds of Kashmiri youth were forcibly disappeared and killed in fake encounters and thousands were sent behind the bars. And now, the political platform of the freedom loving Kashmiris , the All Parties Hurriyet Conference is being outlawed and banned to disallow the fettered people every peaceful avenue including the political to submit to the Indian rule. However, Kashmiris have and shall always resist and defy any such method of subjugation and would never ever accept slavery as their fair accomplice. Come rain or shine and whether the global fraternity supports or forsakes us, we shall press ahead against all odds and take our resistance to its logical end.We warn India against any such foolhardiness as it would have to pay a huge cost and like the occupation forces in Afghanistan, it also would have to vacate our motherland in odium.
It is an incontrovertible fact that Kashmir constitutes a nuclear flash point and if left unattended it could explode anytime triggering a cataclysmic human catastrophe and tearing up every strand of the existing international peace and security fabric. Therefore, it is highly imperative that all peace and freedom loving nations , particularly the civilized world that claims itself to be the champion of freedom and liberty to shrug off the slumber and take an immediate and strong notice of the Indian brinkmanship and ruthless oppression in Kashmir and force it to honor the ideals enshrined in the UN Charter and the established norms of democracy and the rules of International law.
