President Erdogan’s statement welcomed by APHC Convener.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has hailed President of Turkey Mr  Tayib Erdogan’s statement of concern and Saudi Foreign Minister’s of offer of mediation on Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan. But, he deplored India’s volt-face over the Saudi offer and said that the Modi regime believed in and practiced tyrannical methods vis a vis Jammu and Kashmir and undoubtedly the Hindutva regime had plunged entire population of the Kashmiris as well as the minorities in great risk by playing with their life, honour, property and demography, creating horrific conditions for them and not allowing them to move freely in Srinagar in the vicinity of late Syed Ali Geelani ‘s grave, which was under terrific vigilance and nobody was allowed inside his house without recording his biodata.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani appealed to all the members of the  UN General Assembly to make their views explicitly clear on such an international issue like Jammu and Kashmir and impress upon all to play their role in bringing justice into Kashmir. He strongly condemned the police and military role against the general youth especially sympathizers of the Hurriat Conference who are being prosecuted on fake and fabricated past cases and stories without any substantial evidence or involvement in any illegality. He said the proof of India’s popularity was evident in daily police raids, killings and detentions.  If the people of Kashmir were with India why the number of political prisoners and killings was increasing day in and day out. Besides, top Kashmiri leaders were facing mock trials, long detentions or life sentences and the Modi regime had surpassed all the previous records in this connection, such as long detentions and imprisonments of Masarrat Aalam Butt, Chairman APHC, Shabeer Ahmad Shah, M. Yaseen Malik, JKLF Dr Fayaz, JI,Dr Fakhto, Aasia Andrabi, Naeem Ahmad Khan, Asiah Andrabi, Fahmeedah Sofi, Naheeda Nasreen, Altaf Shah, Ayaz Akbar,et.
“The number of Kashmiri youth in other prisons of India besides Tuhard Jail is undisclosed and the parents are traveling pillar to post without any knowledge. ” he said. He emphasized on the honourable members of the UN General Assembly that the situation was humanitarian and political and required instant focus of the world body, failing which the entire sub continent could plunge into any unimaginable catastrophe in near future, ” he feared.
