Indictments of Kashmiri women violate Human Rights in IOK: Pasban-e-Hurriyat JK

Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali express grave concerns on the indictment of Syeda Asiya Andrabi, Fehmida Sufi and Nahida Nasreen by Indian Judiciary.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that all three womem were indicted on baseless charges and India’s biased judiciary is making cruel decisions against Kashmiris.

He said that Kashmiri women are resisting for freedom including Syeda Asiya Andrabi, Fehmida Sufi and Nahida Nasreen who were imprisoned in Indian jails by the Indian court on fake, fabricated and false cases.

He maintained that such indictment on the basis of allegations is a question mark on the role of judiciary in India.

Uzair stated that these decisions were taken at the behest of the Indian government, “Indian judges are now indiscriminately indicting Kashmiri women on false charges.”

He said that women of Jammu and Kashmir like other citizens are demanding freedom, justice and their basic human rights.

Many other Kashmiri women prisoners are suffering imprisonment in notorious Indian Tihar Jail.

He lamented that India army is killing unarmed civilians in the disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir.

“The most serious crimes against humanity are being committed by 900,000 Indian terrorist forces in the occupied state” Ghazali added.

He further added that the international community is watching India’s terrorism as silent spectator. “However, India can never succeed in crushing the rightful liberation movement by military and judicial terrorism” he said.

He called on international Human Rights organizations, Amnesty International, Asia Watch and others to do their part to save the lives and future of Kashmiri women imprisoned in Indian Jails.
