APHC-AJK thanks Pakistan for observing Kashmir Solidarity Day
Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has thanked the government and people of Pakistan for observing Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5.
APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi in a press conference held in Islamabad today, emphasized that the observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day is a clear demonstration of Pakistan’s steadfast commitment and unwavering support for the Kashmir cause. This event reaffirms Pakistan’s consistent policy towards Kashmir and its firm allegiance to the Kashmiri people’s legitimate struggle, he added
Speaking alongside other APHC-AJK leaders, including Altaf Hussain Wani, Shamim Shawl, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Zahid Safi, Imtiaz Wani and Advocate Parvaiz Ahmed, Ghulam Muhammad Safi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for his visit to Muzaffarabad on Kashmir Solidarity Day, which he described as an unequivocal statement of Pakistan’s continued commitment to the Kashmir cause.
He praised the visit of Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir to the base camp in Muzaffarabad on Kashmir Solidarity Day, calling it a morale booster for the people of IIOJK and the Hurriyat leadership languishing in Indian jails. This visit, he said, reinforced Pakistan’s continued support for the Kashmiri struggle.
Other Hurriyat leaders also extended their thanks to the provisional governments, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir for their wholehearted support of the Kashmiri people’s struggle for their right to self-determination.
They highlighted that across Pakistan, from civil society to schools, colleges, and government offices, Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed with great enthusiasm, sending a powerful message to the people of IIOJK that Pakistan stands by them in any circumstance.
