APHC-AJK remembers S Hameed Wani on his martyrdom anniversary
Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has paid glowing tributes to prominent martyred freedom leader S Hameed Wani, on his martyrdom anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian police had arrested S Hamid Wani on April 18, 1998 in Soura area of Srinagar and killed him in custody the same day.
A reference was organised in memory of S Hameed Wani on his martyrdom anniversary in Islamabad, today, with Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in chair.
The participants of the function were of view that the sacrifices rendered by martyrs were a precious asset of the ongoing freedom movement in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
they said shaheed Wani was an iconic character of freedom movement and his life was based on sacrifices.
The participants of the reference expressed dismay over rising human rights violations in IIOJK and said the brute Indian forces are continuously killing, maiming and torturing innocent Kashmiris.
They called upon the United Nation, its human rights organs and international human rights bodies to take cognizane of the worsening situation of IIOJK and press Indian to stop human right violations and settle the Kashmir dispute according to the will of the Kashmiri people.
