Afzal, Maqbool real heroes of Kashmir: JKSM
Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Salvation Movement Altaf Ahmed Bhat Pays glowing tributes to Afzal Guru, Maqbool Bhat. Hails New York State Assembly’s Resolution to recognize 5th February as “Kashmir Day.”
Chairman J&KSM Altaf Ahmad Bhat in a statement here in Islamabad today paid rich tributes to Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guru on their martyrdom anniversaries.
They are real heroes of Kashmir freedom movement, said Altaf Ahmad Bhat in his statement.
They were an ideologue, warriors and intellectuals who led Kashmiris on all fronts. Very few people have the heart to venture against the wind.
Maqbool Bhat, Afzal Guru and other martyrs of Kashmir laid down their lives for the honour and dignity of the common man of Kashmir” added Chairman J&KSM Bhat.
In his statement, Chairman J&KSM said that “Whenever despair and stagnation paralyses, the freedom movement, these brave hearts offered their blood to break the shackles of slavery.” “Mohammad Maqbool Bhat showed us the way to rely on our strength,” He added that Bhat and Guru laid their lives for a sacred cause of freedom.
Both these icons sent to gallows by the fascist regime of India but their infused and rejuvenated our freedom struggle added Altaf Ahmad Bhat.
Bhat appealed the world community to impress Indian authorities for the return of their mortal remains so that they are laid to rest as per religious rituals.
“World community should show their positive approach and support the demand for the return of mortal remains of Bhat and Guru,” he added.
Chairman J&KSM Altaf Ahmed Bhat also hailed New York state Assembly’s Resolution to recognize February 5th as “Kashmir Day, While he also appreciated the strong role of Assembly member Nader Sayegh and American-Pakistani Advocacy Group USA (APAG).
Meanwhile, the party will organise Fateh Khawni for Shaheed Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Afzal Guru at its headquarter and will commemorate sacrifices of all those, who laid their lives for a sacred cause and freedom of occupied Jammu Kashmir.
