APHC-AJK pays rich tributes to victims of Jammu massacre

A conference commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of the Jammu martyrs was held today at the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter office in Islamabad. The conference was chaired by Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Ex Convener of APHC-AJK.

Notable speakers at the event included Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, Syed Faiz Naqashbandi, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Syed Yousuf Naseem, AJK leader Shaheen Kauser Dar, Syed Ali Raza Bukhari, Sardar Hassan Ibrahim, Farzana Yaqoob, Mirza Asif Jarral, Maryam Kashmiri, Abid Abbasi, alongside other political, Social activists and Hurriayat leaders.

The speakers paid tribute to the Jammu martyrs, honoring their sacrifices and expressing a renewed commitment to continue their mission until the Kashmiri people’s inalienable right to self-determination is achieved. They recalled the brutal actions by the Indian army and Dogra Maharaja Hari Singh’s forces, which deprived Kashmiris of their freedom. The martyrs of Jammu, they noted, laid down their lives for a noble cause, and their unparalleled sacrifices remain unforgettable.

The ongoing Kashmir freedom movement, they emphasized, continues to carry forward the mission of the martyrs in a peaceful manner and will ultimately prevail. They expressed confidence that the day is near when the Kashmiri people will gain freedom from Indian rule and be empowered to decide their own future.

The speakers highlighted that enduring peace in South Asia is unattainable without resolving the Kashmir dispute in alignment with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and United Nations resolutions. They called on the international community to take urgent action to prevent the ongoing genocide of Kashmiris and to support a just and lasting solution to the Kashmir conflict.
