JKPFL welcomes UN Chief ‘s statement on Kashmir & 5 February solidarity for Kashmiris.
Srinagar: A spokesman of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League here today, stated that a meeting of the members of the People’s Freedom League was held here which highly lauded the first news briefing of 2021 in New York by the UN Secretary General Antonio guterres, emphasizing the need to fully respect the human rights in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir and urging Pakistan and India to come together and seriously discuss their problems because any military confrontation, he said between them would be a disastrous of unmitigated proportions” .
The UN Chief reassured that our our good offices were always available in finding peaceful solutions of the problems that have no military solutions . In an answer to a question during the press briefing he the UN Chief called for a resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and the UN Charter. This is what the people of Kashmir have been saying for the several decades, said the spokesman of the People’s Freedom League in Srinagar.
The spokesman further welcomed the decision of the Government of Pakistan to celebrate 5 February as the day of solidarity for the right of self-determination to highlight the voice of the Kashmiris and draw international focus on gross and flagrant human rights atrocities and violations being perpetuated by India on the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The spokesman again emphasized the need to raise the question of the fragmentation of the State by India before the General Assembly and other relevant forums as the Indian arbitrary decision breached the international law as required under the UN Charter and the Universal Manifesto of Human Rights.
