Occupied Kashmir observes shutdown
On the call of All parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Indian illegally occupied Kashmir is observing day long shutdown to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Mohammad Afzal Guru who was secretly hanged and buried in Delhi’s Tihar jail.
In a statement , all parties Hurriyet Conference had called for complete shutdown on martyrdom anniversaries of Shaheed Afzal Guru and Shaheed Maqbool Bhat on 09 and 11 February respectively.
According to the ground sources,all transport, business establishments and other activities are shut.
Shaheed Afzal Guru was hanged on 09 February 2013, his family members were not informed about the hanging.
Amnesty international condemned the killing and stated that it indicates a disturbing and regressive trend towards executions shrouded in secrecy.The judge Justice SN Dhinga who sentenced Guru termed execution a political move.
