Kashmiri demands release of prisoners amid COVID19
Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir organized a protest procession here on Friday for the release of illegally detained Kashmiri prisoners during deadly Corona outbreak across India.
According to details, in the midst of the deadly attacks of Corona epidemic in India, Kashmiri on the other side of Line of Control demanded release of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in various jails of India.
A large number of citizens participated in the rally which took place from Lalchok Upper Adda.
People were holding banners and placards with pictures of Kashmiri prisoners and sentences for their release.
Citizens participating in the rally were chanting slogans for the release of Kashmiri prisoners and independence from India.
Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Vice Chairman International Forum for Justice Mushtaq-ul-Islam, PPP Azad Kashmir leader Shaukat Javed Mir, Qari Atiq-ur-Rehman Danish, Refugees leader Hamza Shaheen, Abdul Rauf Tantre, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Syed Nazir Hussain Shah, Khalid Mahmood Zaidi, Mohammad Aimal Farzam and other speakers said that at present deadly attacks of Corona epidemic are going on all over India.
They maintained that people are dying on the streets and outside the hospitals, “in these circumstances, thousands of Kashmiris arrested in various jails in India are suffering from severe depression while the people of the entire state are worried about their lives and health” speakers said.
They said that India should immediately learn from this catastrophic condition and release these oppressed and subjugated Kashmiri prisoners immediately.
Speakers called on international human rights organizations Amnesty International and Asia Watch to release Kashmiri prisoners Ayaz Akbar, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakto, Dr Muhammad Shafi Shariati, Ghulam Muhammad Butt, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Musarat Alam Butt and Pir Saifullah, Muhammad Yusuf Falahi, Dr. Fayyaz Hameed, Shahidul Islam, Naeem Ahmad Khan, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nahida Nasreen, Syeda Asiya Andrabi, Fehmida Sufi, Insha Jan, Syed Shahid Yusuf, Naseema Bano, Advocate Zahid, Syed Altaf Shah and thousands of other prisoners.
The speakers said that the United Nations and other international bodies should fulfill their constitutional obligations to conduct a fair, impartial and free referendum within the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
