Burhan symbol of Resistance: APHC
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference IIOJK in a press release issued in Srinagar while paying rich tributes to the symbol of our resistance moment, Burhan Muzaffer Wani and all the martyrs of our freedom moment who laid down their precious lives for the sacred cause of freedom from Indian subjugation, thanked the freedom loving people of Kashmir for observing complete shutdown on the 5th anniversary of Shaheed Burhan Wani and his associates who were killed in custody on 8th of July 2016 at the hands of Indian occupation forces.
The spokesman of the APHC praised the valour and enthusiasm of the people displayed on the observance of the resistance day said that despite the huge deployment of occupational forces to pressurize the business community, Transporters and employees to continue their daily activities, the freedom loving people belonging to all walks of life ignored the pressure tactics and made the shutdown call a grand success.
The spokesman added that in spite of blockades put on all roads leading to Tral,the native Town of Burhan Wani, still many people succeeded in reaching his grave yard and offered Fateh there. The spokesman condemned the arbitrary arrests of hundreds of pro freedom leaders, activists and youth,including the prominent Hurriyet leader, Mushtaq ul Islam, in a vain attempt to foil down the proposed Shutdown and the Observance of the Resistance Day.
The spokesman reiterated the strong pledge and unwavering stance of the freedom loving people of Kashmir to lead the ongoing resistance moment nourished with the warm blood of our lacs of martyrs said that the Indian fascist regime must read the writing on the wall, the brave people of Kashmir shall never surrender before the Indian military power, nor the repressive measures adopted by it can deter us to achieve our sacred mission of freedom.
Today on observance of the resistance day the Nation especially the youth refresh their commitment to take the freedom movement to its logical conclusion which is the best way to pay homage and reverence to our martyrs, added the statement.
The spokesman also paid gratitude to the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan and Kashmiri diaspora for organizing seminars, prayer meetings and public rallies to commemorate the 5th martyrdom of Shaheed Burhan Wani and his associates and all the martyrs of our freedom moment. The spokesman, in continuation of observing the Martyrs Week, reiterated the appeal to observe complete shutdown on 13th July in IIOJK and to march towards Naqshband Sahib, Srinagar, to pay rich tributes to the martyrs of 13th July 1931.
The spokesman expressed his hope that the people of AJK, Pakistan and abroad shall Organize,seminars and Public rallies on 13th of July to memorize the precocious sacrifices rendered by our martyrs to break the shackles of Indian Subjugation.
The spokesman paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Sopore and Rajuori who have been martyred in fake encounters at Handwara, Rajuori,Pulwama and Kulgam by the Indian occupation forces in the broad day light.
The spokesman urged the United Nations Council for Human Rights and other International Human Rights Organizations to take serious cognizance of the gross violation of human rights in Kashmir perpetrated by the Indian occupation forces where the recent upsurge in the custodial killings has become a routine matter and this heinous crime is committed with impunity.
Expressing his anguish and grave concern over the gross violation of human rights in Kashmir the spokesman sought the help of United Nations Secretary General to impress upon India to stop genocide and custodial killings at the hands of Indian occupation forces and help resolve Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN Security council Resolutions.
